Dr. Tsui is the holder of the Endowed Chair in Biomedical Informatics and Entrepreneurial Science in the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics (DBHi) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He is also a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Biomedical Informatics at the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include—but are not limited to—real-time clinical decision support, population informatics, mobile healthcare, precision medicine, biosurveillance, machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), and signal processing. Dr. Tsui has produced over 100 peer-reviewed publications and his publications have been actively cited. He has been working in healthcare analytics and electronic health records (EHRs) for more than 20 years.  Prior to joining CHOP, Rich served as Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics, Intelligent Systems Program, and Bioengineering here at the University of Pittsburgh.
